Our testing cycle is completed quickly with results back to clients within days. Shrimp MultiPath™ performance has been assessed and validated by Third Party ISO17025 assessors which follow the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Manual for Validation of Diagnostic Assays.
The first step is to take tissue samples and place them into clean tubes with 70% laboratory-grade ethanol. We have easy-to-follow instructional videos here that show step by step how to collect tissue samples. Our team of Health Experts are also here to help if you have questions: info@genics.com
The next step is to submit your sample information through our easy-to-use customer portal, myGenics. If you haven’t registered your organization yet, please do so here. You can find a helpful video on how to pack your samples here. Once you’ve created a new submission in myGenics, you can then request our team to book your shipping to ship your samples to our ISO17025-certified service laboratories.
Next, Genics will receive your samples at our certified laboratory, complete a quality control check, and process tissue samples (Total Nucleic Acid extraction, reverse transcription, PCR). We’ll let you know when your samples arrive and are given the all-clear. Genics will perform data analysis on our proprietary software, generating a detailed report. This is sent express to the farmer with an option of a follow-up call, or meeting (face-to-face or video chat) to discuss details and opportunities.
The information in the report is vital to improving farming performance. Our clients implement decisions such as increased aeration, reduce feed rates, specific culling, early harvest, premium prices for sale etc. At this stage clients will often ask us for an ongoing Health Management Plan.
